The Brains, Brawn & Bravery Motorcycle
Event came about as a mission of love and a way to celebrate the life of my brother...Lt. Chuck Margiotta.
As you all know by now, we accomplished what we set out to do...which was to raise money for scholarships, share
stories, have fun, pay tribute to Chuck's personality and highlight one of Chuck's many passions...motorcycles!
Determined to make sure nobody forgets the events which
took Chuck from us, others showed their passion by requesting permission to document the Brains, Brawn & Bravery Event
as well as informing others about Chuck's life and ultimate sacrifice. The end result of their efforts is a beautiful, sensitive
and powerful tribute to Chuck. There are no words that can express the deep gratitude I have for those responsible for
this video tribute.
My cousin Cynthia Neilson, along with Colleen "CC" Curtis and Jim Stelluto, traveled to Staten Island, New York,
from Tennessee at their own expense to create this video tribute. Over a two day period, they filmed at Ground Zero,
Engine 165 / Ladder 85, and other significant Staten Island locations. Cynthia and her Firepit Friday Media
Group, did interviews with Chuck's friends and family and others attending the BBB Motorcycle Event.
They then strapped on cameras, hopped on motorcycles, and videotaped our first Biker Run. Cynthia, "CC" and
Jim, made the event a very personal and intimate project. The video includes some background music which Jim performed
on a piano in Chuck's High School Gymnasium prior to the interview they did with me. (You can view more of their
podcasts at www.firepitfriday.com) I am proud to say that the video podcast which you are about to see, comes
just in time for the 8th anniversay of 9-11. The 1/2 hour show will be aired locally in Tennessee,
5 times per week, for the entire month of September. It will continue to be available online, through the Firepit
Friday Media Group. Many who attended the BBB Motorcycle Event, did not know Chuck. My hope is
that this video will help you understand how Chuck touched the lives of so many. For those of you who could not
make the event, my hope is that this video inspires you to join us in the coming years. Click
